The estimated value of food, drink and horticulture exports from Ireland in 2020 is €13bn – capping a decade of extraordinary growth where the value of Irish food and drink exports increased 67%. This has been achieved through sustained, incremental increases in value and volume across Ireland’s food and drink categories, and across its key markets.

Launched in 2012, Origin Green is Bord Bia’s national sustainability programme for the Irish food and drink industry. It is the only sustainability programme in the world which operates on a national scale, uniting government, the private sector and food and drink producers. The programme provides a structure for Irish food and drink companies to showcase their commitment to producing in a sustainable manner. 

Origin Green is independently verified, enabling Ireland’s farmers, producers and food businesses to set and achieve measurable sustainability targets – reducing environmental impact, serving local communities more effectively and protecting the extraordinarily rich natural resources that our country enjoys. 
Origin Green collaborates with over 53,000 farms and 324 leading Irish food and drink companies to prove and improve the sustainability of the food they produce to meet the evolving needs of global customers and consumers.

Future Proofing Toolkit UAE

The Covid-19 Future Proofing Toolkit captures all 14 "Indicators" of behavioural change that we have observed since lockdown began.
The toolkit is a living document with regular updates on new indicators of behavioural change and fresh data measuring these changes. This is published and updated at the Bord Bia Covid-19 hub. The series was launched with clients on a webinar on April 29th and has been widely published in social media and national media.
